Your new role
Your new role as a Lead Assembly Technician is to liase with the customer solutions supervisor and support the daily assembly area activities. You need to ensure all assemblies are completed within accordance to the SQS procedures and customer specification with the aim of ensuring high quality is consistently achieved and zero customer complaints are received. You will also need to build panels and component assemblies to customer specifications within given time frames. Your new role will also require you to provide guidance and supervision to 2 Assembly technicians.
Main Responsibilities:
* Monitor materials against contract drawings
* Build panels and component assemblies to customer specifications
* Test and sign off
* Mentor and support new assembly technicians
* Adhere to ISO 9001/SQS
* Liaise with the customer solutions supervisor prior to morning meetings to decide weeks priorities
* Reporting/recording all non conformance's in accordance to the current process
What you'll need to succeed
* Completed Mechanical engineering apprenticeship, it would be beneficial to have a completed HNC or HND within engineering
* Fully conversant with all aspects of tube/pipe fittings
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Supervisor/Charge hand experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive in problem solving
